CELIA KOLLIE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN

OUR STORY

The Celia Kollie Memorial Foundation for Children (CKMFC) was organized in memory of Celia Kollie, a young promising Liberian girl who immigrated with her parents to the United States. At a very young age, Celia aspired to become a medical doctor. As she grew up, her goal became more specific. She dreamed of being a pediatrician with the hope of returning to Liberia to help positively affect the lives of poverty-stricken children.  After graduating from Hazelwood West High school, she attended St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley, where she studied Biology with an emphasis on Chemistry.

Celia was a victim of gun violence and was murdered on April 29, 2019.  She was an easy and obedient Christian young girl with a heart of love fixated on little children. The mind and ambition Celia had to assist children is what inspired us to start a foundation to help children in need.

The Celia Kollie Memorial Foundation for Children, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and assist poverty-stricken children in getting an education, good health, and the meeting of their physical needs. This Foundation serves to honor God and assist the young. We believe every child deserves the right to live a prosperous life. It is a Foundation for all children regardless of their background, status, race, sex, or religion.
